Dedham Selectman, Others Make Push To Reuse Old Avery School As Art Center
boston.com 3 weeks, 5 days agoFinally, an idea takes hold: Avery School as an arts center For the past year, dozens of ideas have circled through a series of meetings in East Dedham about what to do with the soon-to-be vacant Avery Elementary School. Ideas included a new police station, fire station, or a senior center, but nothing seemed to fit. That is, until a few months ago when Selectman Paul Reynolds tossed out the idea of a nonprofit art and community center. Tonight, Dedham selectmen will decide they agree.
