Stargate Composer, Joel Goldsmith Dies
buzzpatrol.com 3 weeks, 2 days agoJoel Goldsmith, Emmy-nominated composer who scored over 350 episodes of Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe, died Sunday at his home in Hidden Hills, California, after a long battle with cancer. He was 54. Goldsmith, the son of Oscar-winning composer Jerry Goldsmith, got his start in sci-fi movies in the late 1970s and early 1980s with The Man With Two Brains, Laserblast and Moon 44, but his best-known work was in TV. He was nominated for three Emmys for his work on the Stargate franchise
