    As I indicated in March, the Defense Department has now reinstated the “Military Accessions Vital to the National Interest” that allows some individuals here in temporary status to join the armed services. The reinstated program will run through May 16, 2014 under the same rules as the earlier program.

    STATE OFFICIALS tossed out 20 questions from the foreign-language versions of the state math exam, citing sloppy translations, the Daily News has learned. The latest revelations brought the total number of discredited state exam question s this year to 29, including six related to the infamous talking pineapple passage.

Haitian Creole language, often called simply Creole or Kreyòl, is a language spoken in Haiti by about twelve million people, which includes all Haitians in Haiti and via emigration, by about two to three million speakers residing in the Bahamas, Cuba, Canada, France, Cayman Islands, French Guiana, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Belize, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Ivory Coast, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, and the United States.
