The “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” stud was announced as the host of the upcoming shindig, set to air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, June 3rd. Russell told press, “This MTV Movie Awards will be more impressive than The Avengers and you won’t have to wait an hour for someone to Hulk out.” Mr. Brand, formerly Katy Perry’s husband, hosted the MTV Video Music Awards in 2008 and 2009.
