Python molurus is a non-venomous python species found in southern Asia. It is known by the common names Indian python, black-tailed python, and Indian rock python. It is one of the largest snake species ever known. Two subspecies are currently recognized, including the nominate subspecies described here. It is spotted and is very long, usually 12 to 16 feet,.
