Soul

Additional Info

via Wikipedia
The soul, in many religions, spiritual traditions, and philosophies, is the spiritual or eternal part of a living being, commonly held to be separable in existence from the body; distinct from the body's physical matter. It is typically thought to consist of one's consciousness and personality, and can be synonymous with the spirit, mind or self. The soul is often believed to live on after the person’s physical death, and some religions posit that God creates souls. In some cultures, non-human living things, and sometimes other objects are said to have souls, a belief known as animism.

  • Egg in Butter Roll
This is inspired by my mother, who used to make this for me for lunch. Instead of garlic she would finely chop spring onions, and it was so addictive. That's when I learned that simple food like this can be really good if you add just a little more effort into it.Firstly, boil the egg to perfection. Depending on your stove and size of the eggs, cooking time will vary but this is the way I do in my kitchen. Put the egg(s) in a pan, pour in water just above the eggs without drowning them, and put on the heat. When the water starts boiling, I time it and cook for another 5 minutes. Fluffy egg can save your soul!!!In a bowl, combine mayo, garlic, parsley and pepper (fine) and salt, and mix. When you mix these, make sure to incorporate a lot of air when you mix. The easiest way is to take a spoon and draw vertical circles, and if you can, turn the bowl at the same time.Someone said that cooking is a brain workout :]When the eggs are done, run them under water and peel, and using the egg cutter, cut them into 3mm*3mm cubes or thereabouts and coat it with your mayo mix.Make an incision in a roll so that there's enough space for the egg to go in and fill it up with the eggs. Garnish with parsley if you fancy.Sit on the couch and enjoy!
  • Cold Noodle
On a blazing hot day, this refreshing dish will save your soul! I love to put extra sesame seeds on top if I need to work after for its brain boosting power.Mix an egg and sugar, and in a large pan, pour the mix in to make a thin layer of yellow sheet. It does not need to be cooked completely unless you don't like that. Place it on a chopping board and let it rest, thinly slice the sheet when it is cool.Slice the tomato, ham and cucumber in a same manner. In a boiling water (1.5 litre per 100g), cook the noodle till al dente, drain and discard the cooking water and wash it with running water till it is cool.On a plate, place the noodle, and plate the rest of the ingredients.Pour the soba source on top and serve.

  • Soup for the sick soul!!!
Step 1 Wash all Vegetables and throw them in a pot and your done. That is it I JOKE I JOKE So I like to get a big pot and warm it up with some olive oil. I use 2 TBSP and throw in the onions that are sliced. I let that cook off and start cutting the Zucchinis. I cut them into little cubes and then throw them in the pot. Let the onions and zucchinis cook for 1 minute and turn to medium high. Peel the Carrot and dice into small round pieces. Do the same with the potato’s. Now add the spices with salt (use as mush or less spice as you want) and the garlic (and if you are using picked garlic, use the liquid from the pickled garlic). Mix well and add a splash of chicken broth. Now add mushrooms, sliced and the corn/peas and tofu. Mix for 2-3 minutes, add chicken broth and let simmer for 20 minutes. I will not lie to you, but this is one of the best soups you will ever have. It does the trick when your sick. Just have this with loads of fluids and you will be clean and healthy like no tomorrow. P.s you can add shrimp to this, chicken…anything you want. You can serve this before dinner, main course or even as an appetizer. Have a soup - a - licious day !!!
