He recently was fired as Florida International’s head coach after running up a 26-65 record in three years and leaving the place a mess. From the Toronto Raptors to the Indiana Pacers to the New York Knicks to the college game, the smiling, smooth-talking Thomas has been a failure. When he bought the Continental Basketball League, it went bankrupt in one year. There was off-court stuff with the Knicks
