The discussion ranged from wages, working conditions, politics to just things men discuss when they are together. It was later decided that the The White Hall Tavern and others like it were not such a good thing and was breaking the morals of the armory workers. The Tavern was owned by Frederick Roeder, a German immigrant and later a Union sympathizer. He owned and
